The Air-Logic FlowBench offers capture of fume at source by using downdraught or crossflow air-movement technology. The FlowBench is specifically designed for specimen dissection or histology work, but can be adapted to suit other applications where operator exposure exceeds the M.E.L. ( Maximum Exposure Limit ) as laid down by the H.S.E.
The Air-Logic FlowBench is fabricated from high quality 316 and 304 grade stainless steel, all bowls and worktops are fully welded, radiused and polished to the highest standard. The bench is supported on a sturdy frame with removable panels to the front enabling easy access to all services.
Transport of air is either downwards through the perforated worktops, via a central spigot located within the sink area, or horizontally across the worksurface via air grilles located in the rear upstand.. The downdraught take-off spigot opening is protected by an adjustable cover which also allows for balancing of air over the complete perforated worksurface.
All perforated worktops can be removed for cleaning and decontamination. Ergonomic design offers full length kneespace, for sitting position, and standard bench height for standing. All services are mounted for ease of use and for future maintenance, with electrical socket outlets conforming to IP56.
Each unit can be configured to suit the clients work methods, including bowl size and position. The Air-Logic FlowBench can be specially fabricated to fit into any available space. The FlowBench requires an extraction system, which would require ducting being routed from the bench, through the structure of the building, to roof level and terminating with a suitable fan unit.
A full range of accessories are available which are listed in the technical reference.
For more accurate control of air through the worktops, a variable speed fan can be fitted, this enables the user to accurately set the correct airflow for a particular operation. If used in conjunction with our airflow monitor that displays velocity, various airflows can be easily set up.
